Who operates Horcrux
The Horcrux website and waitlist are operated by Dropout Studio from Dhaka, Bangladesh. In these terms, “Horcrux”, “we”, and “us” refer to that operation. Contact us at horcrux@dropoutstudio.co.
Using this website
You may use this website for lawful purposes and to learn about Horcrux or join the waitlist. Do not misuse the site, interfere with its operation or security, attempt unauthorised access, or submit information that you do not have the right to use.
Joining the waitlist
When you join, we will send an immediate confirmation and one later launch-access email. You may leave the waitlist at any time by replying to an email or contacting us. Joining locks the four published monthly prices. The merchant chooses a plan at launch. Joining creates no payment or subscription.
Communications
You agree to receive the confirmation and launch-access emails needed to administer the waitlist. These are waitlist communications, not a general marketing subscription. See our Privacy Notice for how we handle your information.
Prohibited commerce
You may not use Horcrux to sell, facilitate, or promote alcohol, pork, gambling, interest-based lending or financing, pornography or adult content, or equivalent prohibited categories. Store creation records acceptance of the applicable revision of this platform policy.
Review and enforcement
A report or automated signal only opens a case. It does not decide that a violation occurred or suspend a store. An authorised human platform operator must review the evidence, confirm a clear violation, and record the decision and reason. Unclear cases remain active while they are reviewed, and Horcrux makes no automated violation decision.
Suspension, remediation, and appeal
A confirmed violation suspends only the affected store’s public storefront and checkout. Its dashboard and data-export access remain available so the merchant can remove prohibited content and submit remediation or an appeal. Reactivation requires a recorded human approval.
Intellectual property
The website, its design, text, graphics, software, and Horcrux branding are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view the site for personal or internal business evaluation, but may not copy, publish, sell, or exploit its content without permission. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.
Third-party links
The site may link to services we do not operate. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their content or operation.
Website availability
The website and waitlist are provided on an “as available” basis. We aim to keep published information accurate, but the future Horcrux service, features, and launch timing may change. These terms may be supplemented by merchant, billing, or plan terms presented before you use the relevant service.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or waitlist. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Changes
We may update these terms as the website or waitlist changes. We will post the revised terms here and change the effective date above. Changes apply from that date and do not undo the waitlist pricing promise stated above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any dispute relating to them is subject to the courts of Bangladesh.
